A new standard is set

Situated on the lakeside of the Newacton Pavilion, a new standard is being set in the figure of ‘Parlour Wine Room’. In a stunning location that boasts water views of Lake Burley Griffin and the National Museum, Parlour is nestled into the spacious Heritage listed Acton Hotel. High ceilings, pillar set room and antique décor bring to life an atmosphere reminiscent of the Victorian era.

The French term Parlour denotes an ‘audience-chamber’, where guests are to be received and welcomed. Parlour strives to offer a comfortable and inviting environment, where the service of a selection of the finest wines, from our local region, Australia and the world are on offer. To accompany the wide selection of wine is a creative and tantalising selection of Spanish Tapas with a modern Australian twist to entice the senses, with an ample array of deserts to keep the sweet tooth happy.

Parlour Wine Room has gone to considerable lengths to provide a distinct and accessible approach to all things boutique. A comprehensive  wine list samples some of the finest wines, sparkling and Champagne that the ACT, regional Australia and the international wine community has to offer. From our own backyard, to the region’s best an ever-increasing standard of wine production allows Parlour to showcase some delectable home grown talent.

Owner Proprietor Bria Sydney (Knightsbridge Penthouse ) has created a warm and inviting atmosphere that will transport you back to another era – as one would expect of a Victorian parlour- and is great any time of the day, its sun drenched balcony is a must for these warm spring evenings. The new spring menu at Parlour Wine Room will put you in a quandary. Everything sounds delicious, and will be if you can decide!
